Rhanders

R H A N D E R S

The Danish glove brand RHANDERS can be traced back to 1250, but was officially founded in 1811. This makes the brand the oldest leather glove maker in the world, and the company has always been family-owned. Although the brand's name has changed over the years, "Randers gloves" have been a phenomenon for centuries.

Since the brand's origin, they have been suppliers of leather gloves to royalty. It is even said that the French Queen, Marie Antoinette, at the time, specifically requested Randers gloves due to the soft quality and aroma of the leather. The aroma was due to calamus root that monks brought to the small town of Randers. The root was then used in the leather's dyeing process, ensuring the unique aroma. The calamus flower is still an icon and adorns their gloves to this day.

RHANDERS is still a proud supplier to the Danish royal family, as well as the Navy, the police, and Her Majesty the Queen's Guard. With a desire to bring "Randers gloves" to today's audience, the RHANDERS brand has emerged as a natural extension of the company's historical and knowledgeable tradition.
