Le Monde Beryl

Le Monde Beryl was founded in 2016 by Lily Atherton Hanbury and Katya Shyfrin. Inspired by traditional Venetian gondolier slippers, ballet flats, and riding boots, the shoes are sustainably and handcrafted in Italy by master artisans using traditional techniques. They combine function, movement, and beauty, with a clear design language, minimal branding, and fine details.

The founders draw inspiration from art, architecture, sculpture, and design that stands the test of time, as well as the colors of gemstones, which is also reflected in the brand's name. Production follows a zero-waste principle, inspired by the original Venetian slippers that were made from remnants of velvet, felt, and rubber.
