Eres was founded by Irène Leroux in 1968 when she took over her parents' sportswear shop. Leroux was inspired by women's complex relationship with swimwear—how it both fascinates and disturbs, captures and intimidates. The ambition was to create something that could help women of all ages and shapes feel comfortable when facing their greatest fear: undressing in public.
Eres was also the first brand to sell swimwear as separates, allowing women to put together their own favorite combinations of both styles and sizes. Quite revolutionary, when you think about it, right? We don't just love Eres for their understanding of women and their historical business decisions.
